A Room with a View …

Behold … the visual definition of the word clutter is set out before you in glorious technicolor. I used to sit in here for hours on end trying to be an author. I loved this room but it just didn’t work out for us. Too much clutter. Too many things just got in our way. The relationship failed to flourish. The affair was doomed from the very start. My eyes mist with tears. Forsooth, I am undone.

Anyway … Moving on ..

These days I am renting a villa on the island of Corfu.

And life is very much less cluttered …

This is my room with a view …

It is January but warm enough still to sit out here and write for a few hours each day. There is an orange tree just across the way and it is laden with fruit. A constant smell of wood smoke hangs in the air. Beyond the village are olive groves and cypress trees stretching up through the foothill communities. The mountains watch over everything. This is a beautiful place and I must do my best.

  1. We all have to suffer for our art, Kris. It’s a tough job, but I’m sure you’ll cope with the distractions!
